Ferrero's Code of Business Conduct
Our Principles and Standards
The Code of Business Conduct of the Ferrero Group, adopted in May 2011, was published for the first time in the second CSR Report in June 2011 and, since 2013, is shared with all stakeholders in the value chain.
The Code is built on the Ferrero principles, it complies with the Code of Ethics of the Group and defines Ferrero practices in the following areas:
1. excellence in quality and safety of products;
2. commitment to the protection of human rights;
3. environmental protection and sustainability;
4. guarantee of the conditions of the workplace;
5. commercial integrity.
In addition, since 2013/2014 we now include a term in our contracts to ensure those we have commercial relationships with acknowledge and accept the Code, particularly in areas related to the production of KINDER® toys and to the outsourced production (manufacturing agreements).
The Code is subjected to a sharing plan called ABCDE (A Business Code Dialogue Engagement).
The Ferrero Integrity Helpline is for reporting issues in relation to our Code of Ethics and/or our Code of Business Conduct confidentially. It is open 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year and can be accessed in 43 languages. The Ferrero Integrity Helpline is managed by a third-party, Convercent. Once a report has been submitted to Convercent, it is immediately made available to a Ferrero Steering Committee for review.
