FERRERO REVEALS TRACEABILITY PROGRESS IN LATEST HAZELNUT REPORT
Ferrero has made strong progress towards its aim of achieving full traceability of its hazelnut supply chain to farm level. The company’s 2022 Annual Hazelnut Progress Report reveals 79% of total sourced hazelnuts can be traced back to farms, up from 57% the previous year.
Alongside this, in the last year Ferrero has further developed and shared knowledge around the principles of regenerative agricultural practices and achieved certification under the Sustainably Grown Standard for three more Agrifarms.
These activities are part of a broader commitment to ensure farmers and farming communities are thriving, environmental values are enhanced through regenerative agriculture practices, and workers’ and childrens’ rights are unequivocally respected. Our commitments are set out in detail in our Hazelnut Charter, which outlines our ambition to be a driving force behind an industry where hazelnut production creates value for all.
