FERRERO ROCHER PARTNERS WITH REYNOLD POERNOMO TO SAY IT WITH GOLD THIS CHRISTMAS WITH LIMITED-EDITION DESSERTS
Elevate your festive table this Christmas with Ferrero Rocher inspired desserts by Reynold Poernomo.
Coming together around the Christmas table has never been more anticipated than after this year of lockdowns and separation from loved ones. To celebrate the holiday season with everyone’s favourite festive treat, Ferrero Rocher has partnered with MasterChef alum and dessert master Reynold Poernomo to create two limited edition desserts. Introducing:
- The Ferrero Rocher ‘Bell’: A heavenly dark chocolate mousse, which hides a luxurious spiced raisin caramel filling inside, and is topped with a golden whole roasted hazelnut, delicate dark chocolate feathers and a Ferrero Rocher.
- The Ferrero Rocher ‘Bauble’: A delicate choux pastry filled with an irresistible dark chocolate whipped ganache and finished with an iconic Ferrero Rocher.
“These limited-edition recipes celebrate my favourite things about Ferrero Rocher – from the crisp wafer to the smooth centre, and the touch of luxury in the gold wrapping. Managing a family-run business over the last year of the pandemic has been a challenge, as it has for most people. The end of lockdown is an incredibly exciting chance to finally share those golden moments we’ve all missed with the people we love. I hope eating and recreating these recipes at home this Christmas will bring families together in the kitchen or around the dining table to make new, very special memories,” Reynold said of the inspiration behind this collaboration.
For those short on time, you can add a special touch to your Christmas table this year with the Ferrero Rocher ‘Bell’ available to buy from KOI Dessert Bar in Chippendale and KOI Dessert Kitchen in Ryde throughout December (online pre-orders open Sunday 28 November). The limited-edition dessert will also feature at KOI pop-up dessert bars at the Darling Harbour Christmas Festival and the Bastille Festival in Circular Quay, both throughout December. At each location, the Ferrero Rocher ‘Bell’ will be available in-store, as well as the option to Click & Collect two Ferrero Rocher-inspired variations of Reynold’s best-selling Celebration Cakes; giving customers a number of golden dessert options to choose from.
The stunning yet simple recipes for both desserts are available on the Ferrero Rocher website. Reynold has created the Ferrero Rocher ‘Bauble’ recipe particularly with home-cooks in mind; so they can create something magical with a touch of gold this Christmas.
“Choux pastry is a French classic and a baking fundamental, so I wanted to share this accessible recipe to make it simple for at home bakers. For me, no festive moment is complete without the golden touch of a Ferrero Rocher so I could think of no better combination than a pillowy choux pastry, filled with a scrumptious dark chocolate whipped ganache and finished with a delicious Ferrero Rocher,” said Reynold.
“We are excited to partner with Reynold again this year to deliver a touch of gold to Christmas tables across the country. Reynold brings incredible creativity to his desserts, reimagining how the classic Ferrero Rocher is enjoyed with friends and family during the festive season. The Ferrero Rocher ‘Bell’ dessert tastes just like Christmas and we can’t wait for you to try it! This past year has been tough for many, so we want to help Australians and New Zealanders create new golden moments together this festive season,” said Mia Buys, ANZ Brand Manager for Ferrero Rocher.
