OUR PASSION FOR INNOVATION

Our passion for innovation

Our passion for innovation combines scientific expertise with cutting edge technologies to deliver unique tasting experiences.

In Australia, Ferrero continues to invest in the production of Nutella at its Lithgow facility in NSW.

We can trace the roots of our dedication to innovation back to 1946, when we began a small pastry shop in Italy.  Pietro Ferrero shaped the company around the pillars of innovation and creativity, crafting novel confectionery delights. Today, that passion for innovation remains, as we leverage our legacy and expertise with technologies and the work we do with partners, to develop new and complementary products for our consumers.

An example of our dedication to innovation through partnerships is our accelerated sustainability plan, that represents a collaborative effort with over 100 partners to explore sustainable alternatives for packaging.

Our dedicated research and technology company within the Ferrero Group regularly carries out innovation studies at our centres of innovation in Chicago, Singapore, Italy and Luxembourg. These innovation centres reflect Ferrero’s rich heritage and foster the creativity and culture that Ferrero is known for around the world.  They help us create high-quality, innovative products that ensure we can continue to surprise and delight consumers.

Locally, Ferrero has successfully expanded into new categories in Australia, including frozen desserts and biscuits.

We also know that the smallest things can make the biggest difference and that by paying attention to the little details, we can guarantee the quality of our unique products and brands.  That’s the reason why, at Ferrero, we are only satisfied with the very best, and this is at the heart of everything we do.  At Ferrero we like to say l'angelo è nei dettagli – the angel is in the detail.

This attention to detail rings true across the whole Ferrero business and demonstrates how we have Quality at Heart.
